What happens at an Annual Gathering?
An annual gathering contains many of the elements of a local VDC weekend: Worship, fellowship, food, speakers, and breakout sessions. Delegates from the various secretariats around the country also attend some plenary/business sessions. Saturday evening includes a special Agape Dinner with a serenade by Inky VDC members.
As the hosting secretariat, we are the welcoming committee providing transportation, worship/music leadership, communications, registration, evening entertainment, coordination with the university, and anything else that needs to be done.
Theme Verse:
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up on meeting together…but encouraging each other” Hebrews 10 : 24-25

the winning artwork!
Fund Raising:
We will need about $8,000 up front to host the gathering. Costs may be higher due to inflation. However, much of this will be recouped through registration fees. Fund raising efforts will take various forms: Donations, use of Thrivent Action grants, events like yard sales, auctions, etc.
